Bow Sizing and Pricing
Each and every bow is hand made by one person. Each bow is going to be unique in it's own way, therefore there is no real "set in stone" way to do pricing. Basically once one is made we take a look at what's in the bow and price it accordingly. Below are the different criteria that we use to set up our prices. It is definitely a "you get what you pay for" kind of system.
Bow pricing all depends on what size the bow is, how many layers are on it, and what type of ribbon was used. Typically the character ribbon such as Hello Kitty, Tinkerbell, or Disney, makes the bows go for about a dollar more due to the cost and limited availability of that ribbon.
Most of the bows that we make and feature on our website are what we would consider "Medium Sized." That means that the clip on the back is a standard 1.25 inch hair clip and the bow typically is about 3-5 inches wide, with at least 2-3 layers of ribbon. Medium non-character bows typically go for about $3-$4.
There are also a few "Large Sized" bows on our website. That means that the clip on the back is at least the 1.25" hair clip, but probably the 2" clip, and the bow typically is about 4-6 inches wide and have at least 3 layers. These bows typically go for about $4-$5 for non-characters.
The "Small Bows" on our website are typically about 2-4 inches wide and can be only 1 layer or at most 2 layers. These bows come with all sorts of clips depending on what works best with each bow. They can have up to 1.25" hair clip, a 1" popper clip, or even just a bobby pin attached to it. Small bows typically run about $2.00 - $3.00 for non characters.
